Sep 14, 2023Sale Alert: $70 Off Barefoot Dreams CozyChic Chenille Cardigan
In conversation about anything Barefoot Dreams related, you might get interrupted by someone exclaiming “Isn’t it so soft?” with true sincerity. The general consensus (from myself and everyone I know) is that no matter what you own from the brand—be it their cozy throws, comfy socks, or plush robes—it’s all incredibly soft, and unbelievably so. It’s the kind of material that makes you feel as though you just checked into the Ritz upon putting it on. So, you can probably imagine this extends to its CozyChic Chenille Cardigan, which is perfectly timed on sale ahead of the cooler months.
Originally $200

Cons:
Made of, you guessed it, a buttery soft chenille fabric, the CozyChic Chenille Cardigan ($125, originally $200) is an autumnal staple. When you need to leave the house but are trapped under the coziest blankets on the couch, throwing on the cardigan feels like a big warm hug—and a stylish one at that. The cardigan has a standard silhouette with an open front and long sleeves but has a longer blanket-esque length. It’s the mid-point of cozy and chic (hence the name) and is designed with large front pockets for when you throw it on before leaving the house.
If you aren’t familiar with the brand, Barefoot Dreams is one of those need-to-know names. Its founder, Annette Cook, championed the brand using soft flannels and knits, which still rings true today. The Malibu brand feels as luxurious as it looks and brings a sophisticated but comfortable approach to traditional loungewear and home staples.
It’s worth pointing out that the only flaw of the style is that it doesn’t come with a button-up design or tying closure. Meaning, it’s more of a blanket-style open cardigan than a traditional sweater. However, the silhouette is meant to have a relaxed feel, and its neutral colorway makes it easy to pair with any items in your closet.

While we inch closer to fall, the cardigan’s sale couldn’t have come at a better time. Right now it’s available in four colors (Anchor, a deep grey, Pearl, a true milk, Pewter, a greige, and Stone, an eggshell) in sizes ranging from an XS to a 3X. Typically, it retails around $200, which feels out of reach, but the QVC sale price of $125 makes it much more of a doable splurge. It would make for a great gift or be a fun self-care treat to get in the fall mood.
